Theatrical performance as the result of Cross-border collaboration
The premiere of the first theatrical performance of the European Capital of Culture in Esch2022 (Luxembourg) was co-produced by the Esch Sur Alzette Theater, SNG Nova Gorica and the Transquinquennal collective. The play Idiomatic deals with small nations and big languages… and vice versa.
A special guest at the play who speaks in Slovenian language is Andrej Zalesjak, a member of the SNG Nova Gorica ensemble who says:“International and multilinguistic work goes above conventional content, function and form of theatre. It moves the local perspective of the world to global. Besides meeting new people and places it enhances more complex reflection of one’s self and it’s abilities and skills.”
